Network Infrastructure Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Network Infrastructure Manager to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure. This role will be responsible for ensuring the continuous and secure flow of data between operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implementation: Manage the design, deployment, and maintenance of network infrastructure ensuring high availability, low latency, redundancy, and security.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with production and IT teams to align network infrastructure with operational needs of continuous production processes.
  • Installation and Configuration: Install and configure routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor and troubleshoot network performance identifying potential bottlenecks and ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Upgrade and Modernization: Plan and execute network upgrades expansions and modernization initiatives including security features and future-ready wireless infrastructure solutions like Private 5G Wi-Fi 6.
  • Scalability: Ensure network scalability to support future production needs and business growth.
  • Security Policies: Implement and enforce network security policies and controls in alignment with organization policies.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with network vendors and external partners to ensure timely delivery implementation and support for network hardware and services.
  • Redundancy Strategies: Develop redundancy strategies to prevent network failures and ensure continuous availability of production data.
Requirements:
  • Production Network Deployment: Proficient in designing and managing large-scale production network deployment including routers switches firewalls and wireless solutions.
  • Network Security Practices: Strong knowledge of network security practices and protocols including VPN intrusion detection and VLAN management.
  • OT/IT Integration: Experience in implementing OT/IT network integration proficient in managing both wired and wireless network infrastructure with experience in optimizing systems for large-scale industrial use.
  • Troubleshooting: Expertise in troubleshooting network issues and implementing solutions in a time-sensitive production environment.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Ability to manage vendor relationships and drive continuous improvements in network performance.
