Job Description

The role of a software engineering manager entails providing project management and leadership on medium to large scale products. This involves ensuring technical quality, product quality, and efficient use of resources.

As part of this position, you will be responsible for day-to-day management of the engineering team to guarantee successful project delivery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams within the organization and partner with key stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver assigned projects on time, within budget, and to agreed-upon quality standards.
  • Partner with product management, architecture, operations, and other delivery teams to ensure effective launch and delivery of projects.
  • Lead teams to ensure project delivery success and build strong client relationships.
  • Apply best practices and coding patterns that ensure world-class solutions that are maintainable, modular, and of high code-quality.

Additionally, you will create a culture that insists on meeting expectations and delivering value, drive automated solutions that enable better efficiency and process improvement, and grow and manage the skills and talent in the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • 14+ years' experience in developing and managing core products or business applications.
  • Strong domain experience in cyber security, ability to drive innovation and take ownership of products offering cyber security to customers and MSP.
  • Experience with content management, web development, agile development, and global delivery.
  • Practical knowledge of agile/iterative development process.
  • Strong design, architecture, and coding experience.
  • Hands-on experience in C++, C technologies.
  • Good knowledge in AWS, multi-project/program management, and development.
  • Able to handle large-scale and multiple products and scrum teams concurrently.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle process and methodologies.
  • Entrepreneurial and self-motivated, business-oriented.
  • Strong leadership, people management, and mentoring skills.
  • Goal-driven; plans and manages toward achieving goals, anticipates problems and issues, and proactively drives their resolution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels.
  • Skilled in presentations and discussions with business and technical staff.
  • Experience in working in an international environment involving multiple development sites on various time zones.
  • Must be confident, highly motivated, and passionate about delivery and customer satisfaction.
