Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Specialist to manage and streamline our payable processes. The ideal candidate will take ownership of critical financial responsibilities currently handled by senior management, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across multiple functions.

The role involves processing rental-related payments and expenses for business expansions, managing franchise-related payables, monitoring advance payments and MSME payable aging, and ensuring timely clearance and compliance with regulations.

In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for checking and approving invoices for accuracy, verifying GL coding, TDS & GST compliance, and performing bill verification against purchase orders and contracts.

The Accounts Payable Specialist will also review and approve Purchase Orders (POs) for accuracy, maintain proper documentation for audit purposes, and coordinate with internal departments and vendors to resolve discrepancies or queries.

Furthermore, the incumbent will support month-end and year-end closing activities for accounts payable and ensure adherence to company policies, statutory requirements, and internal controls.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
  • 2–4 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of TDS, GST, and general accounting principles
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting software and MS Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
