Job Description:

The Procurement Specialist will oversee the entire procurement process from start to finish. This entails creating purchase requisitions, managing purchase orders, and monitoring supplier information.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of procurement specialists, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  2. Negotiate with suppliers and internal teams to develop and maintain strong working relationships.
  3. Identify potential issues or risks and escalate them to senior management for timely resolution.
  4. Conduct regular performance reviews with team members, providing feedback and coaching to improve performance.

Key Requirements:

  • Purchasing Experience: 5+ years of experience in purchasing, preferably in an oil and gas or energy services industry.
  • Tech Skills: Strong understanding of sales orders, purchase requisitions, and purchase orders. Proficient in ERP systems and data analysis tools.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to senior management and clients.
  • Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills, with experience in driving transformation and automation projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • IT Tools: Significant exposure to IT tools for supply chain planning, such as Power BI dashboards.
  • Spend Analytics: Understanding of spend analytics, catalogue management, and contract management.
  • Purchasing Experience: Experience in purchasing, sourcing, and supplier management for goods and services.

Responsibilities:

  1. Review Material Requirements and Specifications
  2. Experience in reviewing and releasing purchase orders, reconciling purchase orders, and resolving supplier queries.
  3. Maintain Master Data and Updates
  4. Identify Potential Risk and Work Out Mitigation Plan
  5. Establish and Monitor Issue Management, Change Management, and Quality Management
  6. Organize Timely Meetings between Team/Supplier/Customer for Issue Resolution
  7. Prepare Overall Project Status Reports and Submit to Senior Management Customer for Reviews
  8. Driving Governance Calls with Stakeholders
