Job Title:

An Associate Director IT is sought to provide leadership and vision in technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement hardware and software deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support strategies based on Innovation and IT infrastructure plans.
  • Establish configuration and monitoring standards for network performance and ensure controls are in place to maintain the standards.
  • Evaluate business needs, objectives, and goals, researching Innovation and IT applications necessary to meet user requirements.
  • Analyze complex Innovation and IT business needs presented by users and recommend technical solutions.
  • Develop project plans for new initiatives, coordinating deliverables with stakeholders.
  • Develop or assist in developing Innovation and IT policies and procedures, including architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
  • Implement, comply with, and maintain Innovation and IT policies and procedures.
  • Design, configure, and optimize hardware, operating systems, networks, storage, and backup devices for reliability, availability, and performance.
  • Design, configure, and manage Active Directory and Citrix environments.
  • Configure and supervise management tool implementations, including monitoring, security, and backup tools.
  • Configure and supervise network solution implementations, including firewall configurations, routing, IPsec tunnels, and remote access VPN services.
  • Diagnose and resolve application delivery issues via Citrix and AWS.
  • Coach and direct Innovation and IT staff in operational activities to ensure compliance with company needs.
  • Manage Innovation and IT staff recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain awareness of changing Innovation and IT trends, best practices, and regulations impacting operational efficiency and business continuity.
  • Participate in hardware and software evaluations and vendor contract negotiations.
  • Make purchasing recommendations and monitor contracted service performance.
  • Develop business case justifications and cost-benefit analyses for Innovation and IT budgeting.
  • Develop an annual Innovation and IT budget, justifying as needed, and review actual results against planned performance.
  • Direct management on potential technology solutions and implementations supporting Innovation and IT's new initiatives and opportunities.
  • Ensure network staff utilize secure processes to access information.
  • Oversee end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.
  • Perform liaison duties between network users, operations, and systems design, modifications, or troubleshooting.
  • Communicate a clear vision for Innovation and IT with all stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties assigned.
  • Lead and coordinate work related to incident tickets and requests within agreed SLAs.
  • Train first-level support personnel to close incidents correctly and promptly.
  • Manage calendars related to recurrent Innovation and IT activities.
  • Work with other Innovation and IT teams and third-party vendors for problem resolution.
  • Manage the execution of Innovation and IT study archival requests, exports, and other activities.
  • Ensure team members perform work in compliance with policies and SOPs.
  • Provide second-level escalation and after-hours support.
