Project Finance Expert Job Description

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our finance team as a Project Finance Specialist. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for performing financial analysis, building and maintaining financial models, conducting budgeting activities, and providing analytical support to project teams.

You will work closely with internal departments to ensure accurate financial planning and reporting. Daily tasks include preparing financial reports, monitoring project costs, and providing insights to support financial decision-making.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Originate prospects by identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to pursue them.
  • Structure proposals/term sheets by analyzing financial data and creating comprehensive documents that showcase our value proposition.
  • Coordinate due diligence by working with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and thorough completion of financial reviews.
  • Manage lender/investor communications by maintaining regular interactions with financial partners and stakeholders.
  • Negotiate closing documentation by reviewing and finalizing agreements with lenders and investors.
  • Ensure post-closing covenants and reporting by overseeing compliance with agreed-upon terms and conditions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a strong analytical mindset, finance expertise, and experience in budgeting and financial modeling. You should also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in financial software and tools, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is essential, and relevant certifications such as CFA or CPA are highly valued.
