Costing & Inventory Management Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Costing & Inventory Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing product costing processes, monitoring and analyzing inventory variances, and leading month-end and year-end closing for cost accounting and inventory.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage product costing processes (standard and actual costing) for multi-site manufacturing.
  2. Monitor and analyze inventory variances, scrap, yield, and cost absorption.
  3. Lead month-end and year-end closing for cost accounting and inventory.
  4. Ensure inventory valuation and costing align with US GAAP and corporate policies.
  5. Oversee physical inventory verification, cycle counts, and reconciliation.
  6. Implement cost control measures and provide cost optimization insights.
  7. Ensure SOX-compliant documentation and controls around cost accounting processes.
  8. Liaise with internal and external auditors for costing/inventory-related audits.
  9. Support new product costing, transfer pricing, and valuation scenarios.
  10. Cost Records Preparation and Cost Audit Requirements for India Entities.
  11. Develop and maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in costing and inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and corporate policies related to inventory valuation and costing.
