Key Responsibilities

  • Procures materials in accordance with plant and corporate regulations (QA, SCM).
  • Communicates and coordinates with product line supervisors/leaders to ensure timely delivery and recovery if required.
  • Has direct communication with suppliers regarding material usage as per forecast, gathering data for accurate forecasting.
  • Processes purchase requisitions and monitors orders, ensuring suppliers deliver goods on time and meeting customer requirements.
  • Manages purchase orders from creation to follow-up, based on requested demands and negotiated prices and conditions at defined suppliers.
  • Manages order confirmations from suppliers, including manual maintenance and ensures accuracy of information.
  • First point of contact for all needed clarifications regarding deviating order confirmations (prices, quantities, dates).
  • Regularly checks overdue/non confirmed/open purchase orders and performs PO rescheduling (expedite, push out, cancel) in cooperation with relevant departments.
  • Executes exception messages (postponement / anticipation / cancellation of orders) as required.
  • Analyses and evaluates supplier performance indicators, such as On Time Delivery, and company performance indicators, such as Inventory Turns, Excess & Obsolete.
  • Maintains inventory levels of materials in accordance with business objectives.
  • Purchasing data maintenance in ERP systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Manages supplier invoices, clarifying any deviations or discrepancies.
  • Updates database and list of qualified suppliers.
  • Gathers information and prepares regular and ad-hoc reports (KPI reports, material availability, open order book, unconfirmed / past due, etc.).
  • Contributes to process improvement activities, new tool implementations, standardization projects, and knowledge sharing.

  • 3-5 Years of experience in SCM- Material Planning.
