Corporate Lawyer Role Overview

This high-profile corporate lawyer role is responsible for leading the development and execution of a company's legal strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate governance, intellectual property, and contract law.

The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of corporate litigation, including disputes with customers, vendors, partners, and employees. They will also be expected to ensure the company's operations are in full compliance with applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive legal strategy aligned with corporate goals.
  • Provide strategic advice on corporate governance matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including customer agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, licensing agreements, partnership agreements, and SaaS agreements.
  • Manage mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships, conducting due diligence, managing transaction structuring, and overseeing legal documentation for corporate transactions.
  • Oversee the protection of intellectual property (IP), including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
  • Ensure the company's operations are in full compliance with applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations.
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of corporate litigation, including disputes with customers, vendors, partners, and employees.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic record, preferably an LLB or equivalent law degree from a recognized university. A minimum of 8-13 years of experience in a corporate legal role, ideally with experience in technology or SaaS businesses, is required.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Providing expert guidance on corporate governance and intellectual property matters.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to maintain the company's legal integrity.
  • Representing the company in various legal forums, including negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
