Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Water Systems Engineer to join our team.

This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining water purification systems across India and beyond.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in process engineering, hydraulics, filtration, pumps, and automation.

They will also possess excellent project planning, documentation, and execution skills.

In this role, you will work closely with our HQ and play a lead role in engineering innovative, efficient, and scalable water purification solutions.

About the Role

This is a senior-level position that requires a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in engineering, designing, and delivering water or process systems at scale.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, certification standards, and relevant technological advancements in the field.

They will also be able to communicate complex technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

In addition to their technical expertise, the successful candidate will possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the engineering and design of water purification systems, ensuring compliance with local conditions, regulatory requirements, and performance targets.
  • Develop detailed system plans, P&IDs, layouts, and process workflows, with input from HQ.
  • Oversee procurement, supplier engagement, and assembly partner coordination, ensuring high-quality execution and cost control.
  • Supervise installation, commissioning, and technical handover of systems to operations teams or clients.
  • Take ownership of operations and maintenance strategies, developing SOPs and troubleshooting guidelines.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to integrate field learnings and continuously improve system performance.
Candidate Profile
  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in engineering, designing, and delivering water or process systems at scale.
  • Strong background in process engineering, hydraulics, filtration, pumps, and automation.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, model, and optimize complex water treatment processes.
  • Experience in managing technical suppliers, fabrication partners, and field installation teams.
  • Highly detail-oriented with excellent project planning, documentation, and execution skills.
  • Fluent in English (professional level); Hindi or other Indian languages are a plus.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Water Process Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
