Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to assume the role of Chief Risk Officer. This position plays a crucial role in assessing and mitigating risks associated with our operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and enhancing overall audit processes within the organization.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about risk management and auditing. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing risk assessment frameworks and methodologies, planning and executing internal audits, and monitoring regulatory compliance. They will also be expected to collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, and provide recommendations for improving risk management practices and enhancing internal controls.

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field is required, along with 8+ years of experience with minimum 2-3 years of audit-related experience in the financial services industry preferred. Professional certification or post-graduation such as MBA is also desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit Planning and Reporting:
    • Develop annual audit plans based on risk assessments and regulatory requirements.
    • Prepare and present audit findings, reports, and recommendations to senior management and audit committees.
  • Internal Audits:
    • Plan and execute internal audits to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, policies, and procedures.
    • Prepare audit reports detailing findings, recommendations, and corrective actions to address identified issues.
  • Compliance Monitoring:
    • Monitor regulatory compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
    • Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and guidelines related to risk management and audit activities.
  • Risk Assessments:
    • Evaluate and identify potential risks within various operational areas of the organization.
    • Develop risk assessment frameworks and methodologies to identify, prioritize, and mitigate risks effectively.
  • Risk Mitigation:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
    • Provide recommendations for improving risk management practices and enhancing internal controls.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to risk management and auditing.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the enhancement of audit methodologies.
