Job Description

The Regional Sourcing Manager oversees sourcing activities within a specific region, driving the development and implementation of regional sourcing strategies.

This role involves leading cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align sourcing activities with business objectives, mitigate risks, and optimize costs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring sourcing professionals, building team capabilities, and ensuring alignment across international business units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing Strategy: Develop a regional sourcing strategy aligned with market trends, supply chain requirements, and business objectives.
  • Supplier Evaluation and Selection: Identify and evaluate suppliers based on their capabilities, quality standards, financial stability, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing, terms, and conditions.
  • Cost Optimization: Analyze spend data and supply chain dynamics to identify cost-saving opportunities within the region.
  • Supplier Performance Management: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure supplier performance.
  • Supply Chain Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing activities with supply chain objectives.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate sourcing and supply chain risks within the region.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay updated with market trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies related to sourcing within the region.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements, provide sourcing expertise, and ensure alignment with business needs.
  • People Development and Management: Lead and develop regional sourcing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a focus on a specific region or geographical area.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of sourcing principles, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to analyze data, develop sourcing strategies, and negotiate contracts.
