Platform Architect Role

We are seeking a seasoned technology leader to spearhead the development of our comprehensive SaaS platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing and implementing scalable, maintainable technical foundations.

This role is crucial in ensuring the stability and cost-efficiency of our system, handling 5,000+ concurrent users and anticipating growth to 100,000+ total users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze the current platform architecture; identify bottlenecks and develop a formal Architecture Gap Report.
  • Translate product epics into modular service contracts, data flow diagrams, and scalable system components.
  • Decide and implement optimal architectural patterns (monolith vs. microservices, REST vs. event-driven, DB index vs. cache).
  • Drive multi-tenant architecture for user/workspace models and complex permission systems.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in an architecture or senior technical leadership role.
  • Strong full-stack expertise with MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
  • Demonstrated success in designing scalable systems handling 1,000+ requests per minute.
  • Advanced proficiency in AWS, including EC2, Lambda, RDS, IAM, CloudFront, and Cognito.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines).
  • Experience working with observability stacks like Datadog, New Relic, or OpenTelemetry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of summarizing trade-offs clearly for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
