Portfolio Valuation Specialist

You will play a pivotal role in providing valuation and monitoring services for our clients' portfolio investments. The position involves conducting thorough financial analysis, creating and maintaining models, and preparing detailed valuation memos.

  • Performing comprehensive valuations on a range of (illiquid) investments across various sectors
  • Developing and updating valuation models, detailed memos, and presentations to ensure accuracy and clarity
  • Gathering pertinent data independently to support investment decisions
  • Addressing client queries effectively and professionally
  • Prioritizing and executing multiple assignments within tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A sound understanding of valuation principles and financial modeling techniques, including discounted cash flows and market multiples
  • Experience working with US/European primary and secondary markets
  • Strong Excel modeling and analytical skills
  • A high level of attention to detail and ability to work independently under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A team player with a professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills

Advantageous Skills

  • Familiarity with third-party databases such as Bloomberg, CapIQ, and Thomson Reuters
  • Hands-on experience with VBA macros
  • Sector knowledge - Real Estate, Shipping, Aircraft, and Oil & Gas

Academic Requirements

  • An MBA or equivalent qualification in finance from a reputable institution
  • A Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or Economics with CFA Level II completed
