Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Strategic Communication Lead to oversee organizational and leadership communication. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional internal and external communication skills, with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

A typical day in this role would involve working on emails, presentations, website content, social media, newsletters, and leadership communications. Close collaboration with leaders across the organization and the communications team is crucial to meet deadlines and build a strong brand. Attention to detail is essential in this position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying effective corporate and external communication strategies, managing internal communications, researching and writing or vetting content, planning and initiating communication initiatives, and maintaining knowledge of company policies and brand guidelines.

This role requires a proactive individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, who can work under pressure and meet timelines. A degree in public relations, communications, or a relevant field is required, along with 4-5 years or 8-10 years of experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to engage employees and stakeholders
  • Manage internal communications through close collaboration with the comms and biz teams
  • Research, write, or vet content and design for emails, newsletters, org website, infographics, social media, etc.
  • Plan and initiate communication initiatives for org events
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and maintain knowledge of companies policies, brand guidelines
  • Work with internal teams to brainstorm content ideas, in line with organizational goals
  • Assist in communication from leadership
  • Serve as a facilitator and provide solutions for peaceful resolution of disputes
  • Proactively measure performance of communication strategies

Requirements and Skills:

  • Proven 4+ or 8+ years' experience as communications specialist for internal and external communication, preferably in large organizations
  • Experience in copywriting and editing for all platforms
  • Solid understanding of project management principles
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) [essential]
  • Outstanding organizational and planning abilities across locations & teams
  • Works well under pressure and meets timelines
  • BSc/BA in public relations, communications or relevant field
