Engineering Operations Manager

The Engineering Operations Manager plays a vital role in maintaining the physical plant, including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical systems.

  • Ensures regulatory compliance to facility regulations and safety standards.
  • Manages and controls heat, light, and power, recommending current best methods for energy conservation and economical facility operations.
  • Distributes preventive maintenance and repair work orders, monitoring timeliness and quality of completion.

Oversees the maintenance of grounds, guestrooms, public spaces, restaurants, property vehicles, and recreational facilities.

Develops long-term plans for preventative maintenance and asset protection, overseeing their execution.

Contacts contractors for bids, supervising construction to ensure timely completion within budgetary guidelines.

  • Builds positive relationships with external customers, such as city building/zoning departments and vendors.
  • Ensures fire crew understanding of procedures, equipment, and alarms.
  • Conducts monthly property inspections to maintain excellent conditions.
  • Inspects and evaluates facilities' physical condition to determine required work.

Recommends or arranges additional services like painting, repair work, renovations, and replacing furnishings and equipment.

Selects and orders new equipment, supplies, and furnishings.

Manages parts and equipment inventory.
