Job Overview:

This role is responsible for driving all aspects of Human Resources, ensuring alignment with business objectives. The successful candidate will lead strategic workforce planning, operational HR functions, and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Leadership:

The individual in this position will partner with senior management to define and implement an HR strategy that supports business growth. They will also oversee organizational design and workforce planning efforts to ensure a well-equipped team for future success.

  • End-to-End HR Operations:

Responsibilities include managing HR operations such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, compensation, and benefits. This will be achieved while maintaining compliance with local labor laws and industry best practices.

The selected candidate will develop and implement robust HR policies and processes tailored to the needs of the organization, driving continuous improvement in HR processes to achieve operational efficiency and positive employee experiences.

  • Talent Management & Development:

In this role, you will lead initiatives for employee training, leadership development, and succession planning to build a strong talent pipeline. You will also develop and implement performance management systems, ensuring regular performance evaluations, feedback, and career development opportunities for employees.

  • Employee Engagement & Culture:

You will foster a positive work environment that reflects the company's values, promoting diversity, inclusion, and employee satisfaction within the team. This includes serving as a trusted advisor to both employees and management on HR-related matters, resolving employee concerns and conflicts proactively.

  • HR Analytics & Reporting:

You will utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and monitor the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives. Regular reporting on HR metrics (hiring, retention, employee satisfaction, etc.) to senior leadership will be required.

  • Change Management & Leadership:

Lead the HR aspects of business transitions, including scaling teams, mergers, or reorganization efforts during periods of rapid growth.

Act as a change agent, driving initiatives that support business transformation and cultural alignment in a high-growth environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • HR Leadership: Proven ability to lead the HR function for a business vertical, providing strategic guidance while managing operational details.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of the logistics industry and challenges associated with managing HR in a dynamic environment.
  • Talent Acquisition & Management: Expertise in recruitment, onboarding, and talent management, especially in industries relying on large operational workforces.
  • Employee Relations & Engagement: Exceptional interpersonal skills for building relationships and fostering a culture of engagement, collaboration, and trust.
  • Change Management: Experience leading HR initiatives during times of growth or business transformation, guiding teams through change.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze workforce data and HR metrics to inform decision-making and improve processes.

Qualifications:

  • MBA/PGDM in Human Resources
  • 8–12 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in logistics, supply chain, or similar industries
  • Experience in leading HR for a business unit or vertical, with a track record of driving business-aligned HR strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices in India.
  • Proven experience handling large, diverse teams across multiple locations or business units.
