Senior Systems Engineer Role

Delivering global connectivity through operational systems engineering.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Radio Access Network Subsystems on a global scale, including 24/7 on-call support to operations.

  • Collaborating with CTO teams and vendors to implement new RAN features.
  • Testing and verifying upgrades in the lab and pre-production system.
  • Coordinating with manufacturers to ensure prompt vendor support.
  • Supporting network operations, customer care, and business portfolio enquiries that require UT Core Module and Network systems troubleshooting.

Periodic travel to manufacturer and Satellite Access Station facilities is required.

Requirements

A relevant university degree and considerable post-graduate experience in systems engineering management.

Key qualifications include:

  • Knowledge of network design, integration, and testing issues associated with satellite access stations operating in L, Ka, and Ku bands.
  • Good understanding of DVB-S2 ACM and TDMA.
  • Ability to create and update Link Budgets.
  • Experience working directly with prime contractors.
  • Methodical approach to work, with sufficient commitment and drive to complete tasks even where adverse conditions are encountered.
