Senior Software Development Strategist

As a seasoned Engineering Chapter Area Lead, you will define the technical roadmap for software development, ensuring alignment to enterprise architecture and data standards.

1. Develop technology strategies to enable autonomous delivery by squads at pace.
2. Remove technology blockers, decouple applications, and streamline processes to enhance velocity through tech enablers like DevOps, containerization, and API-first design.
3. Plan, define, and high-level design of solutions; assist teams in identifying the right technologies and ensuring sound architectural decisions.
4. Collaborate with stakeholders on defining and forecasting software capability requirements. Support implementation of best practices, tooling, and training provided in the organization.
5. Drive operational excellence and support teams responsible for mission-critical production services with diverse stakeholders and complex dependencies.
6. Ensure good design, refactoring, and technical debt elimination. Make sure technical debt and associated impacts are visible to the organization and work with POs to reduce it over time.
7. Deliver results within allocated resources, actively manage and mitigate delivery and delivered risk.
8. Be accountable for the development, performance management, and career progression of Technology roles, e.g., Software and Systems Engineers.

• Familiarity with a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks is expected. Knowledge of some of these tools will set you up for success in this role:
• Solid understanding of large-scale distributed systems, Microservices, and Rest API Integration.
• Cloud - AWS large-scale data warehouse implementation experience.
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing scalable, maintainable, and reliable software solutions.
• Working knowledge of AI/ML and Gen AI applications and how they can enhance software engineering processes to improve productivity.
• Building RAGs using LlamaIndex, LangChain, or similar frameworks is required.
• Preferably, experience building Agentic AI systems using AutoGen, CrewAI, Pydantic, or similar frameworks.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, e.g., Python, TypeScript, or C#, and experience developing microservices architecture on cloud platforms (AWS & Azure).
• A keen interest in researching new AI tooling and daily use of AI coding assistants, e.g., Cursor, Continue, GitHub CoPilot, Aider, Cline, etc.
• Knowledge of or experience in Anthropic Claude, Llama, LiteLLM, Cursor, windsurf/Codeium, VO Vercel, Continue, Aider, Cline, Langchain, Langgraph, Hugging Face will be highly desirable.
• Strong technical leadership skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders to solve business-critical problems.
• Ability to provide technical direction to teams, reviewing designs and code to ensure best practices.
