
Inventory Manager

The position of Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the raw material inventory in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Manage the receipt, storage, issuance, and record maintenance of raw materials on a day-to-day basis.
- Ensure all raw materials are properly labeled, identified, and stored in compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular stock verification, cycle counts, and reconciliation of physical vs. system stock to maintain accuracy.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Production, and Quality teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials without disruption to production schedules.
- Maintain a First-In-First-Out (FIFO) or First-Expiry-First-Out (FEFO) system for material issuance to prevent expired or obsolete materials from being used.
- Monitor storage conditions such as temperature, humidity, and cleanliness to maintain material quality and prevent damage.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, GMP, and other regulatory requirements related to raw material handling and storage.
- Manage documentation including Good Receipt Notes (GRNs), stock registers, bin cards, and ERP entries to ensure accurate tracking and record-keeping.
- Identify slow-moving, non-moving, or expired raw materials and coordinate their proper disposal in accordance with established guidelines.
- Support internal and external audits by ensuring accurate documentation and maintaining store readiness.
A graduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Science, or Commerce is required. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in raw material store management, preferably in the pharmaceuticals/medical devices/manufacturing industry, is also necessary.
- Hands-on experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Tally.
- Knowledge of inventory management techniques including FIFO, FEFO, and Just-In-Time (JIT).
- Strong understanding of ISO 13485, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and regulatory compliance related to raw material handling and storage.
- Excellent knowledge of inventory management and material control.
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a team of inventory handlers.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
