Learning and Development Specialist

This role is responsible for driving the company's learning and development strategy, aligning it with the organization's mission and vision. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performance development and learning delivery, with expertise in brand and service-related topics.

About the Role:
  • The Learning and Development Specialist will plan and execute key learning delivery and leadership development activities, ensuring that all employees receive the training they need to excel in their roles.
  • They will work closely with HR and Operations Leaders to drive compliance of all required training, including new hire training, brand training initiatives, and other relevant programs.
  • The Specialist will also be responsible for monitoring learning technology platforms and overseeing Learning Coordinator responsibilities to support the hotel's training needs.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Facilitating and delivering specified on-property training, including core required training and brand training for hourly associates, supervisors, and leaders.
  2. Acting as a subject matter expert on brand and leadership development tools and resources, educating all leaders on their resources and assisting in their development as requested appropriately.
  3. Monitoring compliance of all required training, including training programs for new hires, brand training initiatives, and working directly with HR and Operations Leaders to drive compliance for all required training.
  4. Understanding and utilizing learning technology platforms and overseeing Learning Coordinator responsibilities to support the hotel's training needs.
  5. Verifying programs processes are effectively implemented to accomplish objectives in alignment with broader business objectives.
Requirements:
  • Educational Qualifications: 2-year degree from an accredited university in Human Resources, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major.
  • Experience: 2 years experience in the human resources or related professional area, certified trainer.
