We are hiring a highly skilled Sports Content Editor to join our dynamic editorial team at EssentiallySports, a leading sports entertainment digital media publication.

As a Sports Content Editor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the high quality and accuracy of our content. Your primary responsibilities will include editing and publishing articles daily, proofreading for grammatical errors and plagiarism, researching facts, and mentoring writers to refine their skills.

This is an excellent opportunity for a sports enthusiast who is passionate about creating engaging content. If you have a good grasp of the English language, are quick with fact-checking, and possess leadership qualities, we encourage you to apply.

Job Description:
  • Edit and publish 20-25 articles daily, maintaining our high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Proofread articles thoroughly, checking for grammatical errors, plagiarism, and factual inaccuracies.
  • Research facts to ensure the veracity of information and identify incorrect claims.
  • Publish articles on time, prioritizing priority news-based articles.
  • Mentor and guide writers to improve their quality, output, and performance.

You will be working remotely from home, enjoying flexible working hours and a completely remote working space. We offer a competitive salary of $50,000 - $70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 6-12 months of experience in proofreading and/or content editing.
  • Prior experience of leading a team of writers is an added advantage.
