- Assisting in the decoration and presentation of finished products, maintaining hygiene and safety standards in the workspace.
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative individual to support our Head Pastry Chef. The ideal candidate will have strong pastry baking, cake decoration, and dessert making skills, as well as experience in following and adjusting recipes.
Key Responsibilities:- Baking Ingredients Preparation: Prepare baking ingredients and follow traditional and modern recipes to create a variety of pastries and baked goods.
- Maintenance and Organization: Maintain stock levels, ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen, and assist in the decoration and presentation of finished products.
- Hygiene and Safety Standards: Maintain hygiene and safety standards in the workspace, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Collaboration and Time Management: Work collaboratively with the Head Pastry Chef and other members of the culinary team to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
In addition to these key responsibilities, the ideal candidate will possess knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety standards, ability to work collaboratively and take direction, strong organizational and time-management skills, relevant certification or diploma in Baking and Pastry Arts, prior experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen, and attention to detail and creativity in pastry presentation.
