We are seeking an expert furniture designer with a passion for architecture who can bring spatial design, product thinking, and creativity together.

This role is perfect for someone who not only designs interiors but also creates innovative furniture and home products that are scalable, functional, and commercially viable.

The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of styling projects, sourcing, and private-label product creation, ensuring every product meets high standards in terms of aesthetics, functionality, and commercial viability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Furniture Design

• Develop furniture collections aligned with our styling vision, balancing aesthetics with ergonomics, durability, and cost efficiency.

• Create detailed product drawings, prototypes, and material boards ready for manufacturing, considering multiple materials and finishes.

• Translate architectural and interior concepts into bespoke furniture solutions, ensuring seamless integration with spatial flow and client needs.

2. Architectural Integration

• Support turnkey styling projects with custom furniture and curated product recommendations, focusing on quality, finishes, and timelines.

• Collaborate with vendors, artisans, and manufacturers to bring designs to market, ensuring consistency in design language and brand ethos.

• Identify market gaps and emerging trends in furniture and interior products, conceptualizing scalable SKUs for our private label and collections.

3. Vendor Collaboration

• Work closely with furniture manufacturers, workshops, and material vendors to ensure quality, finishes, and timelines are met.

• Conduct site and factory visits to monitor production, vetting vendors across wood, metal, upholstery, and alternative materials.

• Lead designs from prototype to retail launch, ensuring alignment with our design roadmaps and seasonal collections.

4. Product Thinking and Market Relevance

• Develop expertise in materials, finishes, joinery, and prototyping, applying this knowledge to create innovative and commercially viable products.

• Contribute to building our reputation as a styling-led, product-first homeware brand by showcasing furniture design stories and collaborating with leadership on design roadmaps.

Core Skills Required:

• Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Furniture Design, with strong skills in furniture design, detailing, and ergonomics.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino/SketchUp, 3D modelling, rendering tools, and ability to bridge creative design with production and commercial viability.

• Experience working with vendors, artisans, and manufacturers, with a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills.
