Job Title: Facilities Manager for Boys' Residential Facility

About the Role:

Delhi Public School, Nacharam seeks an experienced and dynamic Facilities Manager for Boys' Residential Facility to oversee the daily operations of our boys' residential facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe, secure, and well-organized environment for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the daily operations of the boys' residential facility, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-organized environment for students.
  2. Supervise and guide students in the boarding facility, ensuring discipline, respect, and adherence to school policies.
  3. Manage, train, and supervise residential staff, including assistant wardens, matrons, and support staff, ensuring efficient operations and positive student interactions.
  4. Collaborate with the School Security Manager to implement safety protocols for the residential facility, including emergency evacuation plans, curfew management, and supervision during night hours.
  5. Monitor the health, mental well-being, and emotional support needs of students, providing guidance and a safe space for students to express concerns.
  6. Mediate conflicts and ensure that issues between students are resolved fairly, fostering a positive and respectful environment.
  7. Work with academic staff to ensure students' academic and extracurricular commitments are supported and balanced.
  8. Act as the liaison between parents and the school, keeping them informed of their child's welfare, progress, and any issues that may arise.
  9. Organize and supervise recreational, cultural, and social activities for boarders to foster community, teamwork, and personal development.
  10. Maintain detailed records of incidents, student behavior, attendance, and health concerns. Provide regular reports to school administration regarding the residential facility's operations.
  11. Implement and enforce the residential facility's rules, handling discipline in a fair and consistent manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Education, Social Work, or Psychology).
  • Previous experience in a similar leadership role in a school residential facility or hostel management, preferably in an educational institution.
  • Experience in student welfare, counseling, and conflict management.
  • Ability to work with diverse student groups and manage student behavior effectively.
  • Knowledge of child safety, child rights, and regulatory requirements for school hostels.
  • A first-aid certification and knowledge of basic health and wellness protocols would be advantageous.

Salary Range: ₹80,000 - ₹1,20,000 per month (based on qualifications and experience)
