Vice President Software Engineering
We are seeking a seasoned software engineering leader to drive the strategic direction and growth of our SaaS platform.
Main Responsibilities:
- Determine and execute a platform engineering strategy that aligns with product and business goals, balancing engineering, business, and customer needs.
- Lead global R&D roadmap and product transformation initiatives to stay ahead in the competitive market.
- Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing engineering team through effective coaching, mentoring, and talent pipeline development.
- Oversee the development and operations of a scalable, reliable SaaS platform, ensuring continuous improvement in performance, scalability, stability, and security.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, sales, and customer success teams to drive business outcomes.
- Makes technical decisions that balance engineering, business, and customer needs, championing Agile methodologies and a data-driven engineering culture.
- Represent engineering to senior stakeholders and report on progress and challenges, driving transparency and accountability.
Candidate Requirements:
- A minimum of 20 years in software engineering, with 15+ years in SaaS platform/product development, including leadership experience managing teams of 100+ engineers across diverse skill sets.
- Expertise in cloud-native architectures, containers, APIs, infrastructure-as-code, and serverless computing, with a strong understanding of software and infrastructure cost management.
- Technical skills: Java, .NET, AWS, RedHat, ETL tools, front-end technologies; familiarity with Github Copilot and Jira.
