Job Title: Mainframe CICS Engineer

Overview:

The company seeks a highly skilled mainframe engineer to manage and optimize technical infrastructure and ensure the seamless operation of IT systems.

This role involves working closely with application developers and operations teams to ensure smooth environment operations and resolve issues promptly.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, as well as in-depth knowledge in CICS performance & tuning, debugging, and dump analysis.

Additionally, you will need to have experience with SMP/E, software upgrades, and maintenance, including knowledge of all CICS parameters that control performance in a CICSPlex environment.

You will also need to have expertise in CICSPlex SM implementation & customization, dynamic transaction routing, etc., and be familiar with the CICS resource definitions, including those that pertain to CICS region performance.

Furthermore, you will have good oral/written communication skills and possess a strong understanding of zOS facilities such as APF, Link list, VSAM, LPA, RLS, Coupling Facility, and be able to utilize CICS Configuration Manager and Working knowledge of zOS & CICS Explorer.

You will also have an understanding of CICS REST Services.
