Job Title: SME Insurance Underwriter - Strategic Risk Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and underwrite a diverse range of SME insurance products, including fire, burglary, marine, engineering, liability, and miscellaneous policies.
  • Collaborate closely with sales teams to provide expert technical support in presenting and pitching insurance solutions to prospective and existing clients.
  • Design customized insurance programs tailored to individual client risk profiles.
  • Utilize digital and technical tools to create impactful proposals, comparisons, and presentations that meet clients' needs.
  • Liaise with insurers to secure competitive quotes, terms, and underwriting approvals.
  • Ensure all underwriting activities comply with relevant regulatory guidelines and company processes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and industry stakeholders through exceptional communication and engagement skills.
  • Support business expansion by driving knowledge-driven marketing and technical presentations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum 36 years of experience in commercial lines / SME insurance underwriting.
  • Strong knowledge of EB & Non-EB products, as well as the ability to interpret complex policy terms and conditions.
  • Proficiency in insurance portals, quoting tools, and presentation software to streamline underwriting processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, concise language for clients.
  • Established network within the insurance industry, with a deep understanding of market trends and best practices.
