About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled finance professional to support our financial operations. The role involves daily income audits, cashiering duties, and accounting responsibilities, ensuring accurate financial records and adherence to best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Income Audit:
    • Prepare a daily sales report before 10:00 AM and share it with relevant stakeholders.
    • Run day-end in our financial system and generate necessary reports by departments/outlets.
    • Audit all revenue transactions for accuracy, ensuring compliance with standards.
    • Prepare and issue management reports (daily, weekly, monthly) as required.
    • Reconcile credit cards daily and post to the system.
    • Ensure proper backup and authorization for rebates and discounts.
    • Review and audit discounts provided by other departments.
  • Cashiering:
    • Collect and count cashier envelopes daily with a witness.
    • Record all amounts received in the General Cashier Daily Report.
    • Manage and reconcile petty cash, disburse cash after verifying requests, and maintain a register of petty cash advances.
    • Supervise outlet cashiering staff to ensure effective operations.
    • Ensure cash floats are maintained at optimum levels.
  • Accounting:
    • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assist with financial reporting.
    • Assist our chief accountant with annual and interim audits.
    • Maintain proper filing and ensure adherence to record retention policies.
    • Support the finance team with general accounting duties and financial documentation.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of related experience in a similar role or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken).
  • Frequent sitting, use of hands, and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasional standing, walking, and performing tasks that require physical exertion.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and property management systems.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to assess financial information.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
