Senior Credit Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis and credit evaluation, with a proven track record of making informed credit decisions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough due diligence for large corporate customers, including in-depth financial analysis and business model review.
  • Develop and maintain complex cash flow models to analyze and predict cash flows and working capital.
  • Review annual reports, borrower/promoter backgrounds, and credit notes to inform credit decisions.
  • Interact with various stakeholders, including internal and external teams, to gather information and provide guidance on credit analysis and decision-making.
  • Assign ratings to customers based on internal rating criteria and develop early warning triggers.
  • Prepare recommendation notes and present proposals to top management.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry dynamics, regulatory requirements, and bank policies.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assess credit proposals, review cases according to credit policy parameters, and document checks.
  • Analyze observations for necessary corrections in credit appraisal and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Monitor delinquency, exceptions, and portfolio movement, and maintain data as required by senior management.
  • Understand banking products, policies, and loans, and be conversant with SME loan products.

Requirements:

  • CA or MBA from a reputable institute.
  • Minimum 6 years of work experience in credit evaluation in a bank (not NBFC).
  • Credit evaluation experience in any bank.
  • Strong technical competencies in financial analysis and market knowledge of industry segments.
