Job Description

The Technical Leadership Director will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and providing guidance on technical projects. This individual will work closely with the engineering team to ensure successful project delivery and foster a spirit of collaboration and teamwork within the group. The focus of this role is on the overall career growth and achievement of engineers rather than the direction of specific projects.

Essential Functions

• Provide leadership to the engineering team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members
• Develop and implement strategies to improve technical skills and knowledge of the engineering team
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team
• Collaborate with other departments to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes as needed
• Evaluate and recommend changes to technical processes and procedures to drive higher quality and profitability
• Serve as the technical escalation path to customers, providing expert guidance and support as needed
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers and vendors
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to leverage these advancements in our business

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proven track record of success in a technical leadership role, with experience managing cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Deep understanding of current network engineering practices, including Cisco, Dell, Cloud, Net-Admin, and relevant tools
• Experience working with subcontractors and vendors, with a strong understanding of contract management and negotiation
