Job Description:

  • Maintain the design, architecture, and implementation of enterprise networks and associated equipment.
  • Stay up-to-date with network vendor technologies and software.
  • Manage Cisco network devices including routers, switches, access points, and controllers.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise network equipment.
  • Resolve complex issues involving a range of technologies.
  • Assist teams with installing and configuring Cisco Voice Gateways, Integrated Services Routers (ISRs), Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE) routers, analog gateways, and infrastructure equipment.
  • Work with carriers to configure/troubleshoot Internet, MPLS, SD-WAN, and other WAN circuits and equipment.
  • Mentor junior network engineers.
  • Ensure network compliance with standards such as PCI and HIPAA.
  • Provide on-call support for production systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems; resolve issues that occur.
  • Perform system administration tasks to support day-to-day operations.
  • Use tools like Ansible, Solarwinds, and others for configuration management.
  • Plan and execute voice infrastructure expansion, relocation, and consolidation across all corporate locations.
  • Develop and maintain accurate network documentation.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum processes for IT systems teams.
  • Build relationships with key contacts outside their area of expertise.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for outages and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum eight years of experience with Cisco routers, switches, routing protocols, and other network equipment.
  • Experience implementing Cisco ISE.
  • Experience using Cisco DNA Center.
  • SD-WAN and SDN experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of networking in VMware, Docker, and/or AWS environments is a plus.
  • IaC and/or NaC experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Python and Ansible is required.

Special Requirements/Certification:

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional certification is mandatory.
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert certification is preferred.
