Senior Physical Design Engineer

A high-impact Senior Physical Design Engineer is required to drive the development of leading-edge semiconductor and embedded system designs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
  • Interfacing with front-end teams to resolve complex issues
  • Developing innovative low power design solutions using advanced techniques such as voltage islands, power gating, and substrate bias
  • Delivering timing closure on DDR2/DDR3/PCIE interfaces

Requirements:

  • Strong background in ASIC physical design, including floor planning, placement, routing, extraction, IR drop analysis, and timing/signal integrity closure
  • Extensive experience with Cadence, Synopsys, or Magma physical design tools
  • Expertise in scripting languages such as PERL and TCL
  • Strong physical verification skills
  • Static timing analysis in Primetime or Primetime-SI

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to clearly document plans. Ability to interface with different teams and prioritize work based on project needs is also essential.
