AI/ML Engineer - Core Algorithm and Model Expert

Our organization is seeking an experienced AI/ML engineer to lead the development of advanced algorithms and models for computer vision, generative AI, audio processing, predictive analysis, and NLP applications. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing AI/ML models that can be deployed in production-ready environments.

  • Design and Train Models: You will design and train models using naval-specific data and deliver them as end products.
  • Fine-Tune Open-Source LLMs: You will fine-tune open-source large language models (LLMs) for Navy-specific tasks.
  • Preprocess, Label, and Augment Datasets: You will preprocess, label, and augment datasets for training and testing AI models.
  • Implement Quantization, Pruning, and Compression: You will implement quantization, pruning, and compression techniques to optimize AI model performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Language Skills: Proficiency in Python programming language and experience with C++/Rust programming languages.
  • Framework Skills: Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Hugging Face Transformers frameworks.
  • ML Concepts: Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, including transfer learning, RAG, XAI (SHAP/LIME), reinforcement learning, and LLM finetuning.
  • Optimized Inference: Experience with ONNX Runtime, TensorRT, and TorchScript optimized inference tools.
  • Data Tooling: Familiarity with Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and OpenCV data tooling libraries.
