Hitachi Energy is seeking a skilled Power Transformer Design Engineer to join their team in Global Engineering Center. This role involves generating active part and windings, tank, and externals meeting factory limitations, guidelines, and checklists as per IEEE standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate active part and windings, tank, and externals meeting factory limitations, guidelines, and checklists as per IEEE standards.">
  • Responsible for preparation of customer documents, manufacturing drawings, bill of materials, etc., submission to customer as per project schedule.">
  • Understanding of transformer mechanical design, thermal, dielectrics, short circuit, and sound performance and transformer mechanics.">
  • Coordinating design activities within a worldwide factories network.">

Requirements:

">

Education: B.E., B.Tech Mechanical, Electrical Engineering

">

Experience: 4-8 years in Mechanical design for Power Transformers manufacturing Industry

">

Knowledge on CAD software, any 3D Modelling software is a must; Creo is considered an advantage.

">

Should understand Transformer Design, Mechanical Calculations, Dielectrics, clearance creepage, basic layout and cleats lead arrangement.

">

Should have good understanding of IEEE Standards, Canadian Standards.

">

Experience in winding design, tank, externals is an advantage.

">

Ability to speak with and work together with technical teams in different parts of the world.

">

Proficiency in both spoken and written English language is required.

">
