Cell Characterization Expert

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize the standard cell library, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance, power consumption, and area.
  • Strategically pursue PPA trade-offs between different cell circuit architectures in realistic usage environments, driving business growth through technology innovation.
  • Partner with the layout team to define floor plans and layout guidelines for schematics, resulting in enhanced design outcomes.
  • Design and implement combinatorial, power management, and sequential circuits using industry-standard EDA tools, streamlining the design process.
  • Verify functionality, performance, and power of developed circuits through equivalence verification (e.g., ESPCV) and rigorous testing.
  • Generate characterization and views for libraries across multiple custom PVT corners, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Model new and existing cells to support widespread adoption by industry-standard tools, expanding market reach.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work, design flows, and reports, facilitating knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Automate manual tasks to reduce overall time and effort, optimizing resource allocation.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in standard EDA tools like RC-extraction, SPICE simulators, and schematic/layout editors.
  • Experience working with file formats such as lef, NLDM, CCS, and .LIB.
