Senior AI Programmer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Programmer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operationalizing and maintaining large-scale AI solutions, utilizing their expertise in AI Engineering and AIOps to drive business excellence.

This role requires a deep understanding of software engineering and AI principles, with the ability to contribute to the development of Best Buy's core AI capabilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of cloud platforms, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and experience with ML/AI frameworks such as LangChain, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and Seldon-Core.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in AIOps/MLOps, ensuring ultra-low latency and high throughput for real-time ML/AI models. They will also lead end-to-end design reviews, code reviews, and deployment patterns for critical AI applications, utilizing their expertise in Gen AI, Supervised learning, Unsupervised Learning, and Reinforcement Learning domains.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in a highly quantitative field (Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, Operations Research, or related)
  • ~4+ years of hands-on experience building and operationalizing ML/AI products
  • Advanced degrees in relevant fields may be counted towards experience requirements
  • ~2+ years of MLOps/AIOps experience, operationalizing real-time ML/AI models with ultra-low latency and high throughput
  • ~Expert level understanding of Python ecosystem and common AI/ML frameworks
  • ~Expert level, hands-on coding expertise in Python and SQL
  • ~Multi-cloud and multi-region integration experience
