Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain geospatial applications, including web-based mapping solutions.
  • Analyze user requirements to create optimized workflows and tools for geospatial data management.
  • Integrate GIS applications with various enterprise systems and APIs to enhance functionality and efficiency.
  • Design and implement scripts and tools for data automation, analysis, and processing using Python and ArcPy.
  • Perform spatial data modeling, geoprocessing, and complex spatial analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Maintain and optimize spatial databases, including PostGIS and SQL Server with spatial extensions, to ensure data integrity and performance.
  • Create interactive maps, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, or Mapbox.
  • Tune performance, test, and document GIS solutions to meet business needs.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for GIS-related issues and enhancements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in GIS development, with a strong understanding of geospatial concepts and technologies.
  • Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS Suite, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, and ArcGIS Online.
  • Experience migrating Geocortex Essentials and custom HTML 5 web applications into ESRI's JavaScript API version 4.
  • Experience working with VertiGIS Studio Suite and ESRI Experience Builder.
    • Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or .NET for GIS applications.
    • Experience with spatial databases, including PostGIS, SQL Server, and Oracle Spatial.
    • Hands-on experience with FME, GDAL, or other ETL/data transformation tools.
    • Knowledge of web development frameworks and APIs.
    • Experience integrating GIS with other enterprise systems, including ERP and CRM.
    • Familiarity with open-source GIS platforms is a plus.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in GIS, including Esri Technical Certification.
  • Experience working with cloud GIS platforms, including ArcGIS Enterprise on AWS/Azure.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
