System Administrator / Engineer Job Description:

Job Summary

A System Administrator/Engineer plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our network infrastructure and hardware systems.

As a senior member of our Engineering - Hardware & Networks team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software orchestration solutions to verify technology that enables next-generation services to our customers.

Our team thrives on big challenges, results, quality, and agility. We work at all levels of the organization to plan and deliver new services and service capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software orchestration solutions to support new product testing labs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of quality systems and services
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of network architecture, DOCSIS specification, engineering, and validation
  • Stay up-to-date with latest technologies and industry trends
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 3-5 years of experience in network testing
  • Strong understanding of cable network architecture, DOCSIS specification, engineering, and validation
  • Experience working with LAN networks, routers, and switches
  • Knowledge of various RF and network testing equipment
  • Ability to test to standards and work in UNIX OS and network infrastructure
