Lead Windchill Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Windchill infrastructure team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer who wants to take their expertise to the next level and contribute to a dynamic environment.

Job Description:

  • Design and maintain Windchill server architecture, including clustered environments.
  • Oversee system upgrades, patches, and performance tuning.
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery planning.

System Administration:

  • Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions.
  • Monitor system health and performance metrics.
  • Implement backup and recovery procedures.
  • File server management and CAD workers support.

Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Lead technical support for Windchill-related issues (server-side and client-side).
  • Coordinate with CAD and PLM teams to resolve integration issues.
  • Liaise with software vendors for escalated support and updates.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and mentor Windchill system administrators.
  • Allocate resources and manage workload distribution.
  • Conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Compliance & Documentation:

  • Ensure system compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and changes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in Windchill system administration and infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of PTC Windchill.
  • Experience with server management (Windows/Linux), databases (Oracle/MS SQL), and network protocols.
  • Familiarity with CAD integrations (e.g., Creo, AutoCAD).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Leadership experience in managing technical teams.
