Job Title: Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead audit and review engagements, prepare tax returns, and issue financial statements.

This role will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of audit and review engagements, preparing tax returns in compliance with relevant regulations, and issuing financial statements to clients.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Audit and Review Engagement Management:
    • Plan and execute audits and reviews, ensuring that all necessary procedures are followed;
    • Prepare all required documentation, including work papers and client reports;
    • Lead engagements from start through completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Preparation of Tax Returns:
    • Input tax returns for clients using tax software, ensuring accuracy and compliance;
  • Issue Draft Financial Statements and Draft Tax Returns:
    • Take full responsibility for the preparation of deliverables to clients, including financial statements and tax returns;
  • Client Liaison:
    • Take ownership of client relationships, communicating with clients to obtain all required financial/tax documents to ensure engagement deliverables are complete and accurate;

The ideal candidate will have 5-7+ years of experience working in public accounting, 3+ years of experience in a senior or supervisor role at a public accounting firm, and 5+ years of audit experience. They will also hold a Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Accountant License and have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Familiarity and experience with CCH ProSystem Fx Engagement software for audit/review engagements and CCH ProSystem Fx Tax software for tax return preparation is highly desirable.
