Key Role Summary

The Academic Excellence Lead drives curriculum development by ensuring effective lesson planning and teaching quality across the school.

This role involves guiding teachers, monitoring instructional practices, providing timely feedback, and collaborating with leadership to address performance gaps.

  • Key Responsibilities
    1. Review and monitor lesson plans from all teachers (Pre-Primary, Primary, and Secondary) to ensure they align with modern pedagogical strategies and curriculum standards.
    2. Provide constructive and timely feedback for improvement.
    1. Offer ongoing coaching and mentoring to enhance lesson planning and instructional delivery.
    2. Conduct workshops and training sessions to reinforce modern teaching methods.
    3. Provide subject-specific and grade-specific planning guidance when needed.
    1. Create an observation schedule covering all teachers in the school, multiple times throughout the academic year.
    2. Conduct formal and informal classroom observations to evaluate teaching effectiveness.
    3. Share targeted feedback with teachers to improve student engagement and learning outcomes.
    1. Prepare monthly reports on academic performance and teaching quality for senior management.
    2. Maintain open communication with senior leaders to address challenges and track progress.
    3. Discuss performance issues and recommend interventions.
    1. Ensure consistent implementation of approved teaching and learning strategies.
    2. Identify professional development needs based on observation data and lesson plan reviews.
    3. Collaborate with leadership to make decisions that improve instructional quality.
