Special Education Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to work with learners who have multiple disabilities.

The successful candidate will develop, implement, and regularly review Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs, collaborating with parents, therapists, and other school staff. They will deliver customised instruction to students based on their individual needs and learning styles, modifying the standard curriculum to meet the abilities of students with disabilities.

To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or equivalent, along with 3-7 years of experience working with children and adults who have multiple disabilities. You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy.

The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams, possessing strong organisational and documentation skills. Additionally, they will be proficient in using educational technology and assistive aids and devices, with the ability to assess and track student performance and progress regularly.
