Job Description:

Our organization is seeking a seasoned Data Governance professional to spearhead the development and maintenance of tools and technology required for an Enterprise Data Governance program. This pivotal role demands a deep understanding of data governance best practices, as well as exceptional problem-solving skills.

  • Lead the implementation of data governance programs utilizing cutting-edge tools like Collibra, Informatica, and Alation.
  • Design and support solutions for data governance in popular platforms, facilitating data cataloging, metadata management, and data lineage across enterprise applications and data sources.
  • Develop and maintain standard business glossaries and data dictionaries to enable business users to search and understand information.
  • Implement data cataloging solutions with a data governance tool to establish clear data ownership and access control management.
  • Develop custom integrations between data governance tools and various data stores to map and view data lineage.
  • Assist in migrating data from existing sources like SharePoint and Excel to a data governance tool.
  • Implement workflow management systems to optimize, improve, and automate data governance workflows for data stewards, increasing output, eliminating repetition, and reducing errors.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience utilizing tools like Collibra, Informatica, and Alation to implement data governance programs.
  • 5+ years of experience in data management space under any area.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work with business stakeholders and leaders to identify and align on workable business solutions to data privacy requirements and challenges.
  • Knowledge of data governance practices, business, and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection.
  • Demonstrated consulting skills, with change management concepts and strategies.
  • Certifications on these tools are a plus.
