Job Opportunity: Model Validation Expert

MUFG Global Service Private Limited, a leading global financial institution, seeks an experienced Model Validation Manager to join their team in Bengaluru. As a key member of the Model Risk Management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of quantitative models used in risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independent validation of quantitative methodologies, both initial and periodic, across all asset classes and model types.
  • Designing, modeling, and prototyping challenger models to validate existing models.
  • Quantitative analysis and review of model frameworks, assumptions, data, and results.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in quantitative modeling (model development or validation) in one or more of these topics: market risk models, counterparty credit risk models, derivatives pricing models.
  • Good background in Math and Probability theory applied to finance.
  • Good knowledge of Data Science and Statistical inference techniques.
  • Good understanding of financial products.
  • Good programming level in Python.

This role requires strong problem-solving skills, numerical skills, and ability to clearly explain technical matters. The successful candidate will have a Postgraduate degree in a quantitative discipline and excellent written and oral communication skills.
