Quantitative Validation Manager

The Role:

Position Title: Quantitative Model Validator Corporate Title: Manager Reporting to: Head of Model Risk Management Location: Bengaluru Job Profile Position details Independent quantitative model validation of methodologies across all asset classes and model types, both initial and periodic, in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practice.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Validation of quant models for risk management purposes
  • Designing alternative quantitative models
  • Quantitative analysis and review of model frameworks, assumptions, data, and results
  • Testing models' numerical implementations and reviewing documentation
  • Ensuring adherence to governance requirements
  • Documentation of findings in validation reports, including recommendations for model improvements

Requirements:
  • Experience At least 5 years of experience in quantitative modeling or validation in finance
  • Competencies Essential Good background in math and probability theory applied to finance Good knowledge of data science and statistical inference techniques Good understanding of financial products Good programming level in Python
  • Education A postgraduate degree in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, mathematics, mathematical finance, or econometrics
  • Personal Requirements Strong problem-solving skills Strong numerical skills A structured and logical approach to work Excellent attention to detail
