Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at HAD Recruitment Services. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and architectures on the Azure platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data pipelines and architectures on Azure Data Services (Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake)
  • Utilize Azure Data Services to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources
  • Create and optimize data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, processing, and analysis
  • Develop and maintain data models and schemas to support reporting and analytics requirements
  • Collaborate with data analysts and business users to understand data needs and translate them into technical requirements
  • Perform data profiling, sourcing, and cleansing activities to ensure data quality and integrity
  • Leverage Power BI to create interactive dashboards and visualizations for data-driven insights
  • Write efficient SQL queries to extract, analyze, and manipulate data
  • Troubleshoot data-related issues and provide technical support
  • Stay updated on the latest data engineering technologies and best practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
  • 6 to 8 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role
  • Strong proficiency in Azure Data Services (Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake)
  • Expertise in data pipeline development and ETL processes
  • Solid understanding of SQL and database concepts
  • Experience with data profiling, sourcing, and cleansing techniques
  • Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and reporting
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud-based data warehousing and analytics solutions
  • Knowledge of data modeling and data governance principles
  • Familiarity with data quality tools and techniques
  • Experience with data integration tools and technologies (e.g., SSIS, Informatica)
  • Certification in Azure Data Engineering or related fields
