Job Overview:

Inspire Brands is revolutionizing the restaurant industry through digital innovation and operational efficiency.

The Lease and Technical Accounting role plays a vital part in ensuring complete and accurate financial close, internal and external reporting, and the end-to-end lease cycle.

This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute and document the lease accounting policy (in accordance with U.S. GAAP ASC 842), maintaining governance, controls, and segregation of duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Centralized lease accounting close and reporting process, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.
  • Supporting the end-to-end lease accounting process by maintaining proper accounting and documentation of all activity in accordance with U.S. GAAP and internal/external audits.
  • Performing analysis of legal documents to determine lease classification in accordance with U.S. GAAP ASC 842.
  • Reviewing lease classification testing in accordance with U.S. GAAP ASC 842.
  • Collaborating with senior staff on a regular basis.
  • Completing month-end close processes, including subledger work in CoStar, general ledger entries, and internal/external financial reporting deliverables.
  • Cross-functional collaboration to ensure accurate accounting and reporting of lease transactions.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc projects and technical research to support company decisions.
