Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Test Automation Engineer.

  • This individual will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining automated test scripts using Cypress with JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, experience with Cypress for web UI and API testing, as well as knowledge of other test frameworks such as Mocha, Chai, Jest.
  • Additionally, they should be familiar with REST API testing tools like Postman, Supertest, and version control systems like Git/GitHub/GitLab.
  • Our preferred candidate will also possess working knowledge of CI/CD tools for test automation integration and analytical/debugging/troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop automated test scripts using Cypress.
  • Perform end-to-end, UI API testing to ensure application reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects early in the development lifecycle.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Analyze test results, debug issues, and improve test stability and coverage.
  • Maintain and enhance the test automation framework with best practices.
  • Write clear and concise test documentation and reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience with Cypress for web UI and API testing.
  • Knowledge of Mocha, Chai, Jest or other test frameworks.
  • Experience with REST API testing tools like Postman, Supertest.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git/GitHub/GitLab.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD tools for test automation integration.
  • Good analytical/debugging/troubleshooting skills.
