Design Engineer Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting Design for Manufacturing (DFM) analysis in Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) and fabrication analysis in Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct DFM analysis in PCBA and fabricate analysis in PCBs.
  • Analyze testability and generate Design for Testability (DFT) reports.
  • Simulate mechanical assembly processes and create Design for Assembly (DFA) reports.
  • Create Design for eXperience (DFx) procedures and checklists as per customer requirements.
  • Generate DFx reports based on findings, observations, and standards.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal manufacturing teams to define DFx requirements and rules.
  • Ensure adherence to targets set for all Process Metrics.
  • Generate timely and accurate DFx reports for stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in PCBA processes, including stencil printing, solder paste printing, Surface Mount Technology (SMT), wave soldering, assembly, and box build.
  • Strong knowledge of IPC standards.
  • Familiarity with PCB fabrication processes, PCB layers, PCB design, and electronics component packages.
  • Able to define DFx procedures and checklists.
  • Knowledge of PCBA test development processes, including In-Circuit Testing (ICT), Functional Circuit Testing (FCT), and Flying Probe Testing.
  • Experience with DFx tools, such as Vayopro, Valor NPI, Solidworks, and 3D design software.
  • Minimum 4-7 years' experience in DFx methodologies, PCBA DFM processes, DFT, and DFA analysis.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
